Damn, right! And I'm tellin' Harpo to beat these ig'nant crumb snatchin' kids out here too! I overheard a child cuss out some school personnelle today in a way that for sure would have gotten her a black tie invitation to a beating from my mama! See, back in the day, we had a thing called... hmm, let me think... what was it called? Oh, whuppin' ass!! Today parents are young, dumb and out of control so the apples aren't falling too far from the proverbial tree. We need to get back to the days when a swift backhand or a glare from mama would fix that ass in an instant. I'm just under 30 and it seems like a lifetime of difference between the way I was raised and kids today. (Remember you waited to go into your room, closed to door THEN mumbled under your breath "I hate her!"? LOL... now...?)
We need to get back to the time where we gave tough love and handed out beatings freely when appropriate. Stop this negotiating and debating with kids. They need guidance, boundaries and discipline not freedom and friendship from parents. If all else fails, like Ms. Celie said..."beat 'em"
I want to gather a chorus and sing praise for this blog topic! These parents are so concerned with "abusing" their children and being their friends that they don't consider what a ger-animal their child is turning into! I have a tone of topic suggestions, pick me, pick me!
